What does this involve?
Business Energy Scotland is offering free, impartial solar PV assessments for small and medium-sized businesses and social enterprises in Scotland to help them explore the benefits of solar photovoltaics (PV).
Many businesses in Scotland already benefit from solar PV. By generating your own electricity, you can reduce your energy costs, supply risks and carbon emissions.
Business Energy Scotland's advisers have vast experience in this area. They base their assessments on the latest photovoltaic geographical information systems (PVGIS) and data from thousands of existing PV installations in the UK.
This assessment focusses on solar PV only. If you're also interested in battery storage or other energy-saving and renewable technologies, you can ask for a comprehensive energy efficiency assessment instead. Please note, though, there is a high demand for energy efficiency assessments at this time.
Am I eligible?
You are eligible if your business or social enterprise:
- is based in Scotland
- has fewer than 250 employees
- has a turnover of less than £50 million
What does this cost?
The assessment is free. You'll need to cover the cost of installing any solar PV systems.
Who is this for?
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Scotland.
How long does this take?
Business Energy Scotland aims to provide you with a detailed report within 6 weeks, although this time can vary depending on adviser capacity.
You can contact your adviser whenever you need support and for as long you need.
