What does this involve?
The Boosting capital capability support service offers up to 5 days free in-person specialist support for your business. This practical support will help businesses plan and review capital investment decisions, improve decision-making and prepare for future funding or grant support. The 5 days of support will be delivered as separate full or half day in-person sessions over a period of 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the project complexity and level of support required.
Specialist advice will focus on:
- feasibility assessment of capital investment projects
- return-on-investment (ROI) modelling and payback period analysis
- business case development for investment in eligible assets
- request for quotation preparation (as applicable)
- internal capability building including the appointment of a Technology Champion
The service will run for 12 months from 30 April 2026.
Am I eligible?
You are eligible if your business:
- is based in Scotland
- is supported through the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS), Scottish Enterprise's account management service or Scottish Enterprise's specialist support services
- ideally has more than 10 employees
Businesses must also:
- show a clear intent to invest in capital assets that will improve productivity, sustainability or competitiveness
- show a commitment to grow and improve beyond current operations
