Transformational Leadership Programme

What does this involve?

The Transformational Leadership Programme run by Scottish Enterprise will help you strengthen your strategic thinking, lead through challenge and drive meaningful change. It will support you to broaden your leadership approach and help you make a stronger impact in your organisation. 

The programme will use a blended learning approach to help you:

  • understand your leadership style
  • identify your values and determine if they align with your team and business strategy
  • integrate your values into the business and its culture
  • implement positive change through your leadership 
  • create a culture of innovation
  • understand how a culture of innovation can positively impact your business and employees
  • unlock the potential in others within your organisation
  • increase your awareness of change and its impact
  • create and sustain resilience

The programme offers a full programme of assessments and resources, including diagnostic insights to identify your leadership profile along with feedback to build self-awareness and identify development priorities.

The programme will also include one-to-one coaching helping you apply the learning, work through challenges and strengthen your leadership impact. Participants will focus on a live organisational challenge, helping turn learning into action and measurable progress. 

There will be workshop modules which cover areas such as 

  • strategic foresight
  • adaptive leadership
  • high-performance cultures
  • influence
  • talent
  • resilience
  • personal leadership

There will also be a number of online resources, tools and learning materials available to helping you prepare, reflect and continue learning between sessions.

The programme has 2 levels, depending on your business needs. 

Emerging leaders, is aimed at new leaders, existing leaders who havent had any formal development or those who are moving into a leadership role in the next 2-3 years The programme consists of 5 half day workshops and 8 hours of coaching support.

Established leaders is aimed at existing leaders who want to build on the existing experience. This programme consists of 5 full day workshops and 10 hours of coaching support.  

These programmes will be delivered either fully in person or hybrid, this will be confirmed during the enquiry process. 

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for emerging leaders you must either be: 

  • moving to a leadership role in the next 2 years 
  • a new leader just in the role
  • an existing leader with no formal leadership development

To be eligible for established leaders you must be: 

  • a business owner or member of senior management who wants to develop the leadership skills

For both programmes your business must already be based in or planning to set up in the area covered by Scottish Enterprise. This includes Aberdeen City and Shire, the East of Scotland, Tayside and the West of Scotland.

What does this cost?

The cost depends on which level of the programme you participate in.

The programme for established leaders is £1,850 (plus VAT) per participant.

The programme for emerging leaders is £850 (plus VAT) per participant. 

Who is this for?

Business owners and senior management based in or planning to set up in the area covered by Scottish Enterprise. This includes Aberdeen City and Shire, the east of Scotland, Tayside and the west of Scotland.

How long does this take?

Both programme levels take between 4 to 5 months to complete.
