Screen Scotland - Distribution Fund

Support provided by Screen Scotland

What does this involve?

Screen Scotland's Distribution Fund provides funding for the distribution of Scottish feature films with the potential to have a strong cultural impact within Scotland. The fund enables distributors of Scottish feature films to reach wide and diverse domestic audiences.

The Distribution Fund is designed to:

  • connect Scottish audiences with Scottish films
  • reach audiences beyond the usual cinema attendees, that may have barriers to accessing cultural film, are declining or are under-represented in cultural cinema audiences
  • support activities that specifically address barriers to participation and engagement
  • support activities that are designed in collaboration with target audiences and/or relevant partners who represent audiences’ interests and concerns

Awards are likely to be in the range of £5,000 to £15,000.

Am I eligible?

Yes, if you are:

  • an existing UK distributor with a track record of releasing films theatrically in the UK
