What does this involve?
The Environmental Improvement Fund helps businesses, individuals, groups or landowners carry out projects and clean-up events or introduce prevention measures to encourage residents, businesses and landowners to take pride in Falkirk. Grants of up to £5,000 may be available for:
- purchasing tools for regular clean-up events, such as litter-picking hoops, litter pickers or hi-vis vests
- hire of waste equipment
- waste disposal costs, such as private skip hire
- anti fly-tipping measures such as installation of physical barriers, local campaigns, signage, or purchase of camera equipment or trail cameras
- clearance in cases where land ownership cannot be readily established
- bin security, such as locks
- educational workshop costs, including staff
- material costs
- enhancing or improving elements of an existing project

This fund is open to businesses, individuals, community groups, schools, businesses, and private landowners in the Falkirk Council area.
What does this cost?
Funding can be provided to support part of a project. It is expected that the group, individual or business will contribute where possible - for example through time, transport or material.
