Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Scotland can get a free, impartial lighting assessment by Business Energy Scotland advisers. This can help you explore the benefits of upgrading to modern, energy-efficient lighting.

The assessment will provide a detailed report that shows how much you could save by upgrading your lighting.

You can also use your results to apply for the Scottish Government's SME Loan Scheme. This scheme offers interest-free loans of between £1,000 and £100,000 to eligible small and medium-sized enterprises, including charities, to help them upgrade to energy-efficient lighting. The loans come with cashback grants of up to £20,000.

You are eligible if your business or social enterprise:

• is based in Scotland
• has fewer than 250 employees
• has a turnover of less than £50 million
