What does this involve?
The Medical Device Manufacturing Centre (MDMC) offers medical device companies in Scotland free access to advanced imaging and measurement technologies. These can be used to analyse surfaces, materials, and small components with high precision.
The tools can help assess microstructures in biomaterials, inspect surface finishes for quality assurance, and measure intricate details. They're useful for detailed inspections, quality control, and reverse engineering of medical components.
The technologies available include handheld scanners for body parts, to help design prosthetics, and high-resolution imaging systems for analysing medical device components.
