Net Zero Academy - Glasgow and Dundee

Support provided by Scottish Enterprise

What does this involve?

The Scottish Enterprise Net Zero Academy helps Scottish businesses measure their carbon emissions and develop a plan to reduce them.

This free programme is made up of 3 half-day workshops held in Glasgow and Dundee over a 3-week period. The next session will begin in late April 2025.

To apply, you'll need to submit an expression of interest by 1pm on Friday 4 April 2025.

During the workshops, you'll create a personalised net zero action plan that will also meet your funding, customer, and investor requirements.

At the end of the programme, you'll be able to:

  • explain why a net zero transition is necessary
  • understand and describe scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
  • complete a baseline review of your emissions
  • develop a net zero action plan and set SMART objectives for your business

There are up to 16 places available in both the Glasgow and Dundee sessions. Scottish Enterprise will only accept one expression of interest from each business, but up to 2 people can attend from that company.

You'll be expected to participate in all 3 workshops in person. The Net Zero Academy is not available online. You can choose to attend the workshops in either Glasgow or Dundee, but cannot switch between the 2 locations.

The Net Zero Academy is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). You'll be able to claim accredited Continued Professional Development when you successfully complete the assessment after the last workshop.
