The Leadership Development Programme run by Scottish Enterprise will help you improve your business productivity and better engage with your employees. Workshops and masterclasses will focus on improving leadership skills.

The programme will use a blended learning approach to help you:

• understand your leadership style
• identify your values, determine if they align with your team and business strategy and integrate them into the business and its culture
• implement positive change through your leadership for yourself, your team, your organisation and the wider community
• create a culture of innovation and understand how this can positively impact your business and employees
• unlock the potential in others through distributed leadership and employee voice
• increase your awareness of change and its impact
• create and sustain resilience

The programme offers a full programme of assessments and resources, including: 

• diagnostic assessments - personal assessments that are undertaken by each participant before the programme
• learning portal - access to customised learning materials relevant to the programme, such as videos, presentations and podcasts
• workshops - where participants learn together and share issues and solutions with other experienced leaders so they can support, challenge and inspire each other
• forward action planning - to measure the programme’s impact, track progress against action plans and plan next steps
• leadership workshops - an integrated programme of 5 workshops

The programme has 2 levels, depending on your business needs:

The Growth Leadership level is for leaders whose businesses have planned growth aspirations, or experienced leaders who want to build on previous participation in leadership development activities.

The Essential Leadership level is for leaders whose businesses are in the early stages of growth, as well as new leaders and potential leaders who will be moving into a leadership role in the next 2 to 3 years.

Your business must already be based in or planning to set up in the area covered by Scottish Enterprise. This includes Aberdeen City and Shire, the East of Scotland, Tayside and the West of Scotland.

The cost depends on which level of the programme you participate in:

• Growth Leadership: £1,600 (plus VAT) per participant 
• Essential Leadership: £700 (plus VAT) per participant

Business owners and senior management based in or planning to set up in the area covered by Scottish Enterprise. This includes Aberdeen City and Shire, the east of Scotland, Tayside and the west of Scotland.

The Growth Leadership level of the programme takes around 6 to 9 months to complete.

The Essential Leadership level of the programme takes around 3 to 4 months to complete.
