What does this involve?
Scottish Chambers of Commerce has developed a range of trade missions for Scottish companies. Each trade mission is led by the Scottish Chamber Network and is open to eligible businesses across Scotland. Chamber membership is not required.
The purpose of each mission is to identify new exporting opportunities and to arrange a series of meetings with suitable potential trading partners in that country. The organising Chamber will source the contacts in the overseas market and will arrange the meetings.
Am I eligible?
You are eligible if your business:
- is relatively new to exporting to the selected overseas market
- has a turnover below £7.5 million (there is no lower limit)
Scottish Enterprise-managed companies are not eligible.
Only Scottish businesses can participate. There is no requirement to be based in the region of the organising Chamber, nor is it necessary to be a member of any Chamber.
What does this cost?
There are travel and accommodation costs for overseas missions. In some cases, a small fee may be charged to encourage attendance after acceptance onto the mission.
Who is this for?
Scottish businesses interested in exploring new exporting opportunities.
How long does this take?
Enquiries will receive a response from the organising Chamber within 48 hours.
Important information
Participants numbers are limited to between 8 and 15 for each mission, so early registration is advised.
