West Dunbartonshire Council offers a Start-Up Grant of up to £500 for small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that are just starting to trade in the local area.

The council have their own expert advisers to guide you through the whole process from start to finish.

Yes, if you are a small to medium-sized business in West Dunbartonshire that is just starting up or has started up in the past 12 months.

Your business must be trading in or from an address in West Dunbartonshire.

You must also:

• have written a business plan
• have opened a business bank account
• not be in arrears with West Dunbartonshire Council

The Start-Up Grant is free to apply for and free support is provided.

Small to medium-sized businesses in West Dunbartonshire that are just starting up or have started up in the past 12 months.

The West Dunbartonshire Start-Up Grant can be applied for all year round. Applications can take up to 2 weeks to be approved.

Applicants will be asked to submit evidence to support their applications - for example, their spend receipts and bank evidence to support.
