Support for recruiting and training employees

Support provided by Skills Development Scotland

What does this involve?

If you are 25 and over and are facing redundancy or are unemployed, you can get training for industry recognised qualifications. The National Transition Training Fund will help you train in areas of expected growth such as sustainable green jobs.

If you run a business and are expanding your workforce, your new employees may be able to access funding to get an industry recognised qualification.

The Fund will help to boost the supply of skills in growth areas and raise the profile of training opportunities linked to Scotland’s transition to a carbon emissions net zero economy.

Am I eligible?

This is for anyone over 25 years old who has lost their job from 1 March 2020, or who is facing redundancy.

Who is this for?

The National Transition Training Fund is for individuals. There are 10,000 places available.

How long does this take?

Timescales will depend on individual requirements.

Important information
