What does this involve?

Grant funding of £10,000 is available from the Scottish Government to help small business owners of non-domestic properties deal with the impact of coronavirus.

You will need to go to your local authority's website to fill out a Small Business Grant Fund application form. 

The closing date for applications is 10 July 2020.

Am I eligible?

All small businesses in Scotland operating in non-domestic property on 17 March 2020. You can apply if you get:

  • the Small Business Bonus Scheme (SBBS)
  • Rural Relief

You can also apply for this grant if you are eligible for the Small Business Bonus Scheme and get:

  • Nursery Relief
  • Business Growth Accelerator Relief
  • Disabled Relief
  • Fresh Start
  • Discretionary Sports Relief
  • Enterprise Areas Relief 
  • Charitable Rates Relief

What does this cost?

Who is this for?

All small businesses in Scotland operating in non-domestic property on 17 March 2020.

How long does this take?

Councils aim to make payment within 10 working days on receipt of a complete and accurate application (including any supporting documents and information).

Important information

If you own a number of business properties which meet the criteria, you will be eligible for a one-off grant of £10,000 for the first property only, but then a subsequent £7,500 for any further qualifying properties.
