What does this involve?
The Scottish Enterprise Scaling Implementation Grant provides grants of £15,000 to £100,000, per project. Grants are designed to help eligible Scottish businesses implement activity that supports innovation, productivity, competitiveness and scale-up. The grant can be used for projects that help businesses introduce, improve or expand innovative products, services, technology or ways of working.
The grant is for implementation-focused activity only. It does not support early ideas, exploratory research, feasibility studies or stand-alone development activity with no clear route to implementation.
The grant can cover up to 30% eligible project costs. The remaining costs must be met by the business through other sources.
Businesses will also need to pay the project upfront, then submit a claim for the eligible project costs by an agreed date to receive the grant.
The funding is only available during the current financial year. Projects normally run up to 12 months and must compete within the available funding period. All supported activity must finish by the agreed project end date.
Funding is awarded under Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) rules, which limit the amount of public funding a business can receive.
