Grants of up to £2,000 are available from the City of Edinburgh Council to help local businesses increase their overseas trade. 

The support is designed to help companies meet the needs of new or existing international markets, supporting local employment and investment in the process.

Each company will have a period of up to 16 weeks to carry out the work once their application has been approved. You'll need to pay for your activities upfront then reclaim the agreed grant amount from the City of Edinburgh Council after the work is complete.

This grant is funded through the UK's Local Growth Fund and the City of Edinburgh Council.

Yes, if you are:

• a company registered in UK
• headquartered in the City of Edinburgh Council area
• already trading
• a first-time applicant to the Export Support Grant scheme

You'll also need to show that you require support to grow your business in new or existing international markets, with benefits for local employment and investment.

There is no cost to apply for this funding.
