What does this involve?
The Community Right to Buy Fund provides financial support for community organisations in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
The fund helps communities pay for professional services to help them register an interest in land or buildings under the Community Right to Buy legislation. These services could include legal title searches or help with mapping.
What is Community Right to Buy?
With a buoyant and fast-paced property market, it is currently more difficult for communities to buy land and buildings. If your community spots an opportunity, you can apply to register your interest in that property through the Community Right to Buy legislation.
If you’re successful, you’ll have first option to purchase if or when it’s offered for sale. This fund can help with the costs of professional services, where needed, to submit your application to register an interest.
Support will be tailored to an organisation's needs based on discussion.
Am I eligible?

This support is unlikely to involve state subsidy, but this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
