What does this involve?

Innovative businesses grow faster. If you're looking to develop or improve a product, service or process and increase productivity, you can talk to Scottish Enterprise innovation experts for all the support you need.

Am I eligible?

Yes, if you:

  • have a registered company in Scotland
  • are developing a new product, service or process, or significantly improving an existing product, service or process
  • have a business plan and/or a project plan you can submit with your application
  • have conducted some market research on your business ideas
  • can finance a significant part of your innovation project
  • can make use of a free impartial review of your project by experienced innovation advisers
  • would like to increase your knowledge and understanding of intellectual property (IP) rights and how this could affect your business

This is a free advice service in Scotland.

Who is this for?

Any business based in Scotland.

How long does this take?

Once you’ve submitted your enquiry, you should hear back from an advisor within three days (excluding weekends) to discuss your needs. Support will be tailored to your requirements.

  • apply for grants for development work
  • secure investment
  • manage intellectual assets (IA) and intellectual property (IP)
