What does this involve?
The Scottish Government has published guidance for retailers on the new rules for people who buy, sell and use fireworks in Scotland.
These will apply from 30 June 2021, when the Fireworks (Scotland) Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2021 come into effect. The regulations govern the way the general public can use and access fireworks. They include 3 new measures on:
- when the public can use fireworks
- when the public can buy fireworks
- the quantities an individual can purchase
This guidance helps retailers who sell fireworks understand their legal responsibilities. It includes information on exemptions and links to further information.
