What does this involve?

The Scottish Government has issued support and information for those working in the waste sector in Scotland.

It came into effect on 13 July 2020 and extends until further notice. It will be reviewed in line with the regular three-weekly review of lockdown requirements. 

It highlights key areas to consider for working safely:

  • health and safety guidance
  • physical distancing and hygiene guidance
  • business support across Scotland
  • information on household waste recycling centres
  • Zero Waste Scotland on managing household waste
  • SEPA on managing business waste
  • COSLA guidance and resources
