Important information

Support is divided into 5 ‘Strands’, with Strand 1 being the starting point. There may be scope to then move to any of the other strands, depending on certain criteria being met.

Strand 1: Business innovation workshop

Strand 2: One to one advice via a Business Status Review, which looks at the entire business, and an Innovation Audit, which looks at innovation capability within the business

Strand 3: 10 days of expert advice / mentoring on selected areas of business innovation

Strand 4: A 12 month cross-border (within the eligible area of the Programme) research project in partnership with an academic/research institution. Co-Innovate will support 50% of a Project Manager’s salary (capped to a maximum value of €20,000) along with 24 days of fully funded academic support.

Strand 5: Cross-border collaborative R&D projects, grant funded at up to 50% of the costs of the project. These may be business to business collaborations (€300,000 project), or ‘clusters’ (€600,000 project), involving at least 3 businesses and an academic institution.
