Board Health Check Skills and Training

Support provided by Highlands and Islands Enterprise

What does this involve?

The Board Health Check, Skills and Training (BHST) is designed to help boards assess in proven, practical ways their areas of strength, what may need to be improved and how. It also helps individual board members look at their own skills, reflect on where they currently are and where they want to be in the future.

'Coach Me' one-to-one support is also available, either as part of the BHST or on its own, to support individuals who are part of the boards of community organisations, charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations. This involves specialist help for individual community board members to build your confidence and understanding of governance, including processes, roles and responsibilities and problem solving.

You can either apply for the full BHST programme or complete an initial Expression of Interest form for one-to-one support.

If your request for support is successful, a full application will be sent to you. If you're unsuccessful, you will be directed to other support that may be of help.
