About two-thirds of heat from a typical tourism or hospitality building is lost through the building fabric, for example, walls, ceilings and floors. Wrapping your building in a warm blanket will reduce the amount of heat you need.

This guide includes:

• draught proofing your building
• the energy efficiency of windows
• insulation in your loft, walls and floors
