Transform Net Zero

Support provided by Scottish Enterprise

What does this involve?

This project is designed to lead Scotland toward a low-carbon economy by encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food and drink sector to explore new market opportunities and find ways to move toward zero waste.

Companies will collaborate with academic and industrial partners and benefit from their expertise in food innovation, environment and computer games.

The support can include:

  • increased innovation capacity for SMEs
  • access to skills, training, workshops, and networks
  • help with specific issues with the use of existing technologies and barriers to uptake in Lowlands and Uplands of Scotland
  • help to be more competitive and energy efficient
  • preparation for new market opportunities
  • support with finding new solutions to achieve zero waste through collaborative design and access to experienced researchers and facilities at Abertay University

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if you are:

  • a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) - that is, with fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than £50 million
