The Investment for Growth Programme is designed to help local Edinburgh based business owners/leaders, who are seeking equity investment for growth and expansion, become investment ready. 

Each of the four workshops helps to demystify and navigate the journey to finding suitable investors, and leverage tools and techniques that will ultimately attract suitable growth investment (i.e. seed, angel, syndicate, venture capital).

The programme is delivered by Elevator UK on behalf of Business Gateway Edinburgh and The City of Edinburgh Council.

This programme is available to Scottish-registered businesses specifically based in the City of Edinburgh Council area that are looking to grow and expand with the help of equity investment.

It is designed for Edinburgh business owners or leaders who have:

• an existing business, or start-up business
• not previously participated in a Business Gateway Edinburgh programme
• the ambition to grow the business to the next level by raising investment
•  already undertaken research into the type of investment required (i.e. seed, angel, syndicate, venture capital)
• the commitment to attend all  sessions in the programme

This is a fully funded service, free to the participant.

The programme consists of four 1-day workshops run over a six week period across September and October 2025.
