What does this involve?
The Scottish Government is providing funding support for Indoor Football Centres in Scotland. They recognise the unprecedented challenges that indoor football centres have experienced since March 2020 as a result of coronavirus restrictions.
This fund will be administered through local authorities (your local council) and will provide one-off grants of up to £25,000 to eligible businesses. The level of grant awarded will depend on the rateable value of the premises from which they operate. Financial assistance will be paid, as a one-off grant of:
- £10,000 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £18,000
- £25,000 for premises which have a rateable value of £18,001 or above
Local authorities will contact indoor football centres in their area directly to confirm their eligibility and process payment.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible, indoor football centres must operate from premises that pay Non-Domestic Rates and be wholly indoor; hybrid centres with indoor and outdoor facilities are excluded.
Businesses that operate from multiple premises are able to apply for funding for each of the premises. This claim will be subject to subsidy control in line with the EU’s State Aid Temporary Framework.
Who is this for?
This funding is for indoor football centres located in Scotland that operate from premises paying non-domestic rates.
How long does this take?
Local authorities will contact indoor football centres in their area directly. They will ask for information to confirm eligibility for this fund and to process payment.
If you haven’t been contacted by your local authority by 8 February 2021, please contact your local authority directly.
