Supplier relief assistance for Fife Council contracted suppliers

Support provided by Fife Council

What does this involve?

If you are a contracted supplier of Fife Council who is at risk of not being able to resume normal service delivery after the outbreak, Fife Council can work with you to ensure service continuity.

Supplier relief can take varying forms. It is possible to adjust contractual terms around delivery and performance, as well as interim payment models.

Any interim payment model will include a condition that you must promptly pay your staff and supply chain under the contract. Fife Council fully expect suppliers to pass the benefits of these arrangements onto their staff and supply chain.

Supplier relief will constitute a formal variation to your current contract and will be time bound.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible you must:

  • have a contract with Fife Council to provide committed goods or services (in frequency and/or volume)
  • show that your contracted performance or expected demand has been reduced or paused due to COVID-19
  • show that non-payment would result in supply chains collapsing and/or significant financial implications for your business

What does this cost?

This is a free service.

Who is this for?

This is for existing council suppliers, whose contracts have been disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak.

How long does this take?

Applications will be assessed as soon as possible, dependant on demand.

Important information

If your business does not fit within the temporary framework for State Aid, then it is unlikely you will be eligible for this support.
