Falkirk Council Digital Development Fund

Support provided by Falkirk Council

What does this involve?

The Falkirk Digital Development Grant provides businesses in the Falkirk Council area with financial support to help them develop and implement new digital systems to improve their performance and enable growth.

This is a discretionary funding programme. The fund can cover up to 50% of your digital expenditure, to a maximum of £10,000. The minimum eligible project value is £2,000, so the smallest grant you can receive is £1,000.

Am I eligible?

Yes, if your business:

  • has been trading for at least 6 months
  • meets the European definition of an small or medium-sized enterprise, with fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than £45 million
  • is not in any debt to the council, such as for business rate arrears
  • operates on a full-time basis
  • is not in bankruptcy, liquidation or similar at the time you apply
  • is not a community group, not-for-profit organisation, voluntary or charitable organisation (except for social enterprises)

Full eligibility criteria are available on the Falkirk Council website.

What does this cost?

You'll need to cover all approved project costs upfront. You'll receive your grant after the project is complete and you have submitted the required evidence of your expenditure.

The grant can cover up to 50% of your business’s digital expenditure, to a maximum of £10,000. You must be prepared to cover the rest of the cost from other sources.

Who is this for?

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Falkirk area looking for financial support to develop or implement digital systems to improve their performance and enable growth.

How long does this take?

Falkirk Council will aim to assess your application as soon as possible. This may take up to 4 weeks.

After your application has been approved, you'll have 3 months to complete your project and submit evidence of your costs. Once your evidence is verified, you'll receive your grant payment.
