The Specialist Business Advice programme provides fully-funded consultancy support to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Fife that are looking to develop.

The programme is open for applications. New applications will be accepted until 31 January 2027.

  • buying/selling a business, premises or asset
  • investor readiness and funding application support
• information systems, including:
  • data/Information solutions
  • hardware, software and networks

  • recruitment and employment law guidance

Specialist Business Advice is offered at the discretion of a Business Gateway adviser, so you must be working with Business Gateway Fife to be considered. Your application will be completed by a Business Gateway adviser, then checked, signed and submitted by you.

The Specialist Business Advice programme is delivered by Business Gateway Fife on behalf of Fife Council's Economic Development Team.

Your business must be working with Business Gateway Fife to be considered for this programme. Your adviser will work with you to determine whether this support is suitable for your business.

Your business must be located in Fife to register with Business Gateway Fife.

The approved consultancy support must be completed within 45 days after you receive your formal offer of support.
