Coronavirus shielding advice and support for your employees

Support provided by Scottish Government

What does this involve?

The Scottish Government has issued shielding advice to help people make informed decisions and access support services.

From 1 August, the Scottish Government are advising people who have been shielding that they currently no longer need to do so. This means that in general, people who have been shielding can now follow the same advice as everyone else in Scotland. That means returning to work if required and it's safe to do so.

In general, Scottish Government advice continues to be to work from home where possible.

This guidance includes information on:

  • pausing shielding
  • returning to work
  • staying safe
  • travel advice
  • health and wellbeing

What does this cost?

This is a free service.

Who is this for?

All businesses in Scotland.

How long does this take?

The full guidance should take around 10 to 15 minutes to read, but you may only need to read the parts which are relevant to your business.
